About high-speed travel in China
High-speed trains in China are operated by the China Railway High-speed (CRH) trains along many lines in China. The first line to offer sub-high-speed service was the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway in 1994. Eventually, more lines were added to the high-speed rail network in 2007. Today, China has the largest high-speed rail network in the world, almost 17,000 mi in length and reaching 30 out of 33 provinces in China.
